Do we really need to be a member of a church?
 

I would say the answer is No! Of course not. There is just no need. Going to church or not going to church does not make you a Christian. For me personally being a Christian is about building a daily relationship with God, through Jesus.

The modern Churches of today, are Hugh set ups which often come with lots of rules, opinions and biases. Is that what God would have wanted for his people.?  Does he really want us in grand churches, mega churches , temples or meeting houses. For a once a week ritual, then back to our normal lives?
 

Our relationship with God should be daily and more conversational. We should close our eyes and talk to Jesus whenever we have have a few minutes in our busy lives. I find this works wonders for me. My motto is short, sweet and simple. But super regular. Nothing complex and almost child like in nature.

I find so many Christians have the view they need to go to church once a week, repeat a few ritual like prayers. Possibly also get on there knees every morning and evening, repeat a few more prayers like the Lord’s Prayer. You know the one, “Our Father in heaven“ etc. You probably learned it in school.

surely, it’s better to have God in our minds and hearts at regular intervals during the day and try try to embrace what he is saying to us. 

Christianity is a social religion and yes! we need to help those in need, but surely we can do this on a daily basis without making it a religious act, we can help our friends and family and those in our communities.

As a member of the LGBT community myself, I often find these places unwelcoming And uninviting. As I know many of us do. Which is surely not the idea? We should build a daily relationship with God through Jesus. We can this this in our own homes all we need is a Bible some books on Christian teachings and some time to set aside everyday.

And yes! Some formal church can be good sometime! with the uplifting music and prayer. But remember we can access all this through social media and you tube.

But to call ourselves Christian do we need to go to church every Sunday? No of course not!
